Rekono has added qualified services for remote electronic signature and seal to the EU Trusted List!

Rekono has certified two new qualified trust services, which are as of today listed on the European Union Trusted List (EU Trusted List):

  • Qualified Remote Electronic Signature Management (QRemManage for QSigCD), and
  • Qualified Remote Electronic Seal Management (QRemManage for QSealCD).
  •

By expanding its portfolio of qualified trust services, Rekono continues to develop advanced solutions for secure digital business operations.

With this step, Rekono broadens its offering of qualified trust services in line with the latest regulatory framework — the revised eIDAS 2.0 regulation, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2160 of 27 October 2025 (CIR), which entered into force on 17 November 2025, and the Act Amending the Electronic Identification and Trust Services Act (ZEISZ-A), which entered into force in Slovenia on 21 November 2025.

What do the two new services offer?

The term QRemManage refers to the qualified service for managing qualified devices for creating qualified electronic signatures (QSigCD) or qualified electronic seals (QSealCD) remotely. In practice, this means that Rekono manages cryptographic keys — on behalf of the user and under their sole control — within a highly secure environment, enabling the creation of qualified electronic signatures and seals. Under eIDAS 2.0, the management of such devices is formally recognised as a standalone qualified trust service — an additional and independently verified layer of trust and oversight.

What does this mean for users?

  • The highest legal validity of a qualified electronic signature created remotely — in the cloud — carrying the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
  • A presumption of data integrity and accuracy of origin for data linked to a qualified electronic seal created in the cloud.
  • Cross-border recognition across all 27 EU member states.
  • No more dependence on smart cards or USB smart tokens — sign from any device, anywhere, at any time.
  • Independently verified management in compliance with the latest ETSI standards and eIDAS 2.0 requirements.
